Brighten Your Hacienda with Painted Wooden Mirrors

July 5, 2013

Whether you're in need of brightening up a dark, gloomy corner or maximize a small space, our Painted Wooden Mirrors can transform your space. Mirrors create depth by reflecting light and views, standing in as extra windows and amplifying a space. Try placing a mirror in the entryway, above the mantel or anywhere it will reflect lovely light.

"Mirrors have come to mean much more than the original 'looking glass.' They are now a part of the decorative scheme of a modern home. By using them, there are no dark, gloomy corners, no drab caverns for halls. There can be a feeling of freedom, light, air, space." ~ Dorothy Draper

Artist, Arcelia Barbero Gomez, doesn't just create mirrors to beautify your walls; she creates original wall art which will be a glorious focal point in any room it is displayed. The Karpastado collection of wooden mirrors are intimately and finely painted with designs that offer both vibrancy and depth. The intricate designs displayed reflect rich Mexican traditions and expert craftsmanship.

Each Karpastado Mirror is created with heart and soul by Senora Barbero G. She creates the mirrors by hand and then meticulously hand-paints the intricate designs in her studio in Guadalajara, Mexico. Senora Barbero G. studied at Artes Plasticas in Xalapa, Veracruz and has lived and worked internationally. Upon completion, each mirror is signed by the artist and comes with a sticker of authenticity.
