Mexican Mirrors Provide Functional Beauty
July 14, 2014
Mirrors are functional, beautiful and a necessity in every style of home! The highly creative and imaginative mirror selections offered in our store reflect the strong traditions and expert craftsmanship of Mexican folk artists.
According to designer, Avram Rusu, there are never rules when it comes to decorating with mirrors. "Mirrors bring light and depth into rooms — they're like decorative windows you can move around and place as you like," she says. Professional interior designer, Vanessa Deleon, shares her expert advice on decorating with mirrors. "A large mirror in a small room creates the illusion of depth, so don't be scared to go big." It might be tempting to hang up a mirror to cover empty wall space, but make sure it's reflecting something that's worth looking at. "The worst thing a decorator can do is hang mirrors so they're reflecting random things in your home," says Deleon. "One bold piece can set the entire tone for the room," she adds.
Mexico has for centuries been celebrated as the preeminent place to obtain fine tin products and exceptional Talavera -- our exquisite Tin and Talavera Tile Mirrors combine these two fine products. Each unique design is created with care by artisans in the peaceful colonial city of San Miguel de Allende.
