New Additions to the Santa Rosa Majolica Pottery Line

January 13, 2014

Our Santa Rosa Majolica Pottery line has just expanded! We've recently updated our catalog to including dozens of new fruit designs in both our serving and display piece categories. All pieces are stunningly beautiful and besides making a welcome addition to your home are perfect as a gift for someone special.

Majolica pottery originated in the 16th century and is primarily distinguished by the milky-white glaze used after the first firing. Majolica pottery is a diverse category of clay arts under which, Spanish-influenced Talavera and Italian Majolica are sub-genres. Mexican Majolica primarily differs from traditional Talavera in the art form and use of colors. Traditional Talavera is known for its intricate pattern work whereas Majolica uses more free-form designs and artwork. Each Santa Rosa Majolica piece is in itself a unique work of art, one that will bring the flavor and flare of this artistry directly into your home.

You can now serve guests in style with our new Fruit Water Pitcher which holds roughly 72 ounces and will definitely be the talk of any party you host. Our Oval Fruit Platter is a colorful, handmade platter which is ideal for serving at any party plus makes a perfect highlight to any dining table. The platter's design will certainly make an eye-catching addition to your table!

Our Fruit Majolica pots, jars and vases are sure to please the most discriminating eye. Our new Small Fruit Ginger Jar is a wonderful accent piece for the living room, kitchen, or dining room. Using modern, high-temperature kilns each Majolica Vase has a strong and durable finish that resists chips and cracks.
