Paper Mache Creations by Roberto Garcia

July 21, 2014

The basis of Paper Mache Art is generally an uncomplicated crafting technique that turns old newspaper into art. The majority of us are familiar with the wet, watery glue over paper technique that we had fun with when we were in elementary school, aren't we? Artist Roberto Garcia has taken this basic technique to the extreme with his amazingly beautiful creations!

Senor Garcia has practiced numerous art techniques at the Escuela de Diseno y Artesania in Mexico City so his finished pieces showcase his well-versed skills. After the Paper Mache Figures are hand-formed in his southern Yucatan home he then paints them by hand with bright paint colors and creative patterns. As you can see from his finished art, this isn't your school art project kind of paper mache!
