Styling Your Bedroom Nightstand

When it comes to styling one’s room, the nightstand or the bedside table, usually gets the least bit of attention. It is just plopped on the side of the bed and that’s about it. Nightstands allow you to keep all the essentials you might need for easy access when you are in bed. However, this doesn’t mean that they can’t look stylish. Here are some ways you can style your nightstand:

Give It a Personal Touch

Adding some whimsical or personal items that mean so much to you is always a good idea. They could be something you wake up to and see every day, such as a trinket given to you by your parents or a picture frame of you with your family. A sentimental piece placed on the nightstand is a great idea and gives your nightstand some personality.

Books

Choose to keep some pretty books on the nightstand, especially some with interesting cover designs. Alternatively, you can also keep two to three of your favorite books or current reads on the side. Stack them up neatly and try not to have more than 1-3 books; otherwise, it will look overcrowded.

Table Lamp

What nightstand is complete without a small to medium-sized table lamp? Almost everyone reads before going to bed or needs to have a quick light that they can turn on without getting out of bed, so this is where table lamps come in. Make sure to have the same table lamps on each side of the bed to give it a symmetrical view.
