Cactus Furniture Collection
From Chile, where 22,000-foot mountain peaks watch over fertile valleys rolling to the sea, comes our newest line of handcrafted furniture: The Cactus Collection. Every piece in this unique collection is crafted with care using new, kiln-dried Insigne pine from the wet regions of southern Chile, and meticulously inlaid Quisco cactus planks from the Andean hillsides of northern Chile’s Atacama Desert. The cactus forests include specimens ranging in size from short, single-trunked plants to mature trees with hundreds of branches that can reach over 25 feet in height and live for hundreds of years. In this mature stage of the plant’s life cycle, some of the branches naturally die, and their exposure to the sun, wind, and sand during the subsequent period of decay gives the cactus wood its character - fraught with holes, cracks, and diverse color tones. This natural complexity contrasts beautifully with the simple grains and colors of the pine, creating one-of-a-kind furniture pieces that are worthy of passing down from generation to generation.
All iron and hardware in the Cactus Collection is hand-forged with a distressed, rust-colored finish, and all construction is tongue and groove. The pine framework is finished in a natural-colored stain, and the cactus inlay planks are polished to accentuate their natural patterns. A polyurethane coating is applied at the end of the manufacturing process to further protect and beautify each piece. The result is a unique, rustic style that compliments all western, southwestern, and lodge décor themes. Every piece also carries a one-year limited warranty, and unlike other on-line stores we try to keep all items in constant stock for delivery to your home or office in just 2-3 weeks. See for yourself the uncommon styling and handcrafted warmth of every piece, and if you can't find the perfect complement to your home decorating project, please also visit our from Mexico.
