Description
Gorky Gonzalez was born in Morelia, Mexico, in 1939. He was a student of the arts, and in the early 1960s his primary interest became the resurrection of traditional Colonial Majolica, a double-glaze pottery technique made popular in Italy and favored during Spanish colonialism.

Every authentic piece of pottery offered by La Fuente Imports is hand made at the Gorky Gonzalez Ceramic studio in Guanajuato, Mexico. This assures that every piece we ship to you is lead and cadmium free, chip and crack resistant, as well as microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe.
Helpful Information
  • Due to the handmade nature of Gorky Pottery, colors and design may vary slightly.
  • For decoration purposes there is an eyelet on the back of every plate or platter for hanging on a wall.

All my ceramics arrived within a couple of days well-packaged and unbroken. I love them and would not hesitate to order from La Fuente again.
