The appearance of small surface cracks, or crazing, is a natural characteristic of Talavera tile.

i was happy to receive the tiles from my old home town of colorado springs but unfortunately the packing of the tiles, although were good, did not survive and as i separated the cardboard in between each tile 11 tiles were broken. I was able to use some of the broken tiles and complete my project.
