5 Ways to Personalize Your Room and Give It Your Character
August 20, 2019
Most of us spend almost one-third of our day in our bedrooms. A personalized bedroom will help you to feel more comfortable and relaxed. However, it is not easy for everyone to be creative enough to transform an entire room. If you want your bedroom decor to match your personality then here’s how to personalize your room.
1.) Display Your Pictures
We all have special people in our lives who are close to our hearts and it’s always a good idea to hang a memorable picture with them in your room. You can display pictures of your friends, family, pets or anything that means something to you on the walls. You can also frame the photos to keep on your side table.
2.) Choose a Color
Everyone has a favorite color that gives them a soothing feeling. Try to pick furniture and wallpaper of colors that you love the most.
If you don’t have any specific color choices then go for either blue or green. These two colors are famous for their cooling effects.
3.) Hang Artwork
The artwork is not only about painting and sculptures. You can add even inspirational quotes that motivate you to achieve your goals in your room. You can also give your personality to your room by creating a theme based on your favorite inspirational movie or book.
4.) Decorate With Plants
Nature is a great way to comfort your soul. It distracts you from the stresses of daily life. Make an air plant terrarium or decorate mason jars to keep your favorite plants in your room.
5.) Creative Lighting
If you like a bright room then having windows is a great way to keep your room bright during the day. But, if you like low-light rooms then you can hang string lights around the bed or on the walls to give a deep relaxation effect.
While all this will help, keep in mind that the first step in personalizing your room starts with choosing the right furniture! So go and put a creative stamp in your bedroom.
