How to Use Pottery in Your Home
July 15, 2019
Pottery has always played a huge role in creating an aesthetic appeal for interior decoration. It has been handcrafted for centuries by skilled artisans in different shapes, sizes, and colors. It has been collected by connoisseurs and has been part of different cultures and societies since ages. So if you want to add some pottery as part of your interior décor, there are a few ways to do so:
Add Plants
Turn your pottery into floral decorations and vases by adding some long-stemmed flowers in them. It will add a pop of color and freshness to the room. You can also opt for faux flowers if changing fresh ones every few days is not possible.

Group by Colors
Create a modern aesthetic by grouping together pottery of the same color and shape. It makes them look a bit uniformed and creates a pattern. When you group pieces of pottery in a central location such as above the fireplace or on the mantel, especially against a white background, it will make the entire area stand out.
Mix and Match
You don’t have to go with a uniformed look if you don’t want. Play and experiment with different styles by mixing a bunch of them together. Varying sizes, colors, and shapes will give an artsy feel to your space and elevate the entire area with their presence.
In the Kitchen
A kitchen is usually the place that is always short of any extra space but adding some pottery at either end of the top of the kitchen cabinet is going to give it a nice visual appeal.
Bookshelf
Add some small-medium sized pottery on every alternate shelf or line them up on the top.
Table
A large ceramic pot in the center of the coffee table creates a nice focal point. From the dining table to the side table in your room, you can place a piece of pottery anywhere!
