La Fuente is keeping things fresh and new this spring! We've recently added to our popular Huichol Beaded Art category and we're excited to share our new Huichol Skulls that are each handmade with precision. These pieces of Mexican art are amazingly beautiful.

Decorating with skulls can add intrigue and personality to your home's interior design. Each Huichol Skull is a one-of-a-kind piece of art that is perfect for displaying in your Mexican-themed home. The skulls are made by meticulously pressing tiny glass beads into natural beeswax spread over a skull form. Every bead is hand-placed into an intricate design limited only by the artist's imagination and skill. Inspired by their culture, this bead art is made in limited quantities by the Huichol and Tepehuano Indians of southwestern Mexico.

The Huichols express these feelings through their art, which is made not from the standpoint of decoration, but to give profound expression to deep spiritual beliefs. This makes traditional Huichol art, whether it be meticulous beadwork, yarn paintings, wooden masks, or striking embroidered and woven personal adornments, beautiful not only from its aesthetic standpoint but from the psychological as well.
