Easy Tips for Arranging Pillows

When it comes to room décor and arrangement, everyone just worries about the pillows and cushions at the end. Just throw them on the sofa or chair and you are done, right? Well, not quite. Adding the right kind of pillows in their right placement takes your room décor to a whole new level. Here are some easy tips that will make your room look much better:

Bedroom Pillows

Some people just love to put lots of pillows on their bed. While that may look great in an interior decoration photo shoot or some magazine, it is somewhat impractical. You have to be arranging pillows in the morning and then throwing them off the bed while you are sleeping at night. Opt for fewer pillows on the bed. You can make your bed look interesting with just three to five medium sized pillows instead of ten.

Sofa Pillows

Sofa pillows or cushions are generally supposed to be bigger because they have to complement the size with the sofa. Choose pillows that are 18-20 inches big and have a neutral tone to go with the sofas. Neutral tone pillows never go wrong no matter what color your sofa is.

Add a Pop of Color

If you already have furniture that is neutral or plain in color, you can always add a bright or funky pattern pillow to give it a good contrast.

Add a Bright Center Pillow

Whether it is your bed or the sofa in the living room, adding a statement pillow is all it takes to make your room look more chic. You can also do an alternate design/color pattern by placing two different colors/designs one after the other.
