5 Ways to Decorate Your Holiday Cabin
December 21, 2018
No hotels to check into and so much space, comfort and privacy! Having a cabin is great and all but it can be a bit of a challenge to decorate it if one doesn’t have prior experience in decorating the interiors. Here is a mini guide on how you can do so:
1.) Go for Just the Essentials
You need to know that since you won’t be spending a lot of time there, you won’t have to need much so just stick to the bare minimum or essentials. Don’t overly stock or decorate the place and add any clutter.
Have basic pieces of furniture such as beds, sofas and dining tables but steer away from anything too valuable or heavy. Opt for wooden furniture with a rustic theme going so that it matches with nature outside.
2.) Rugs
Don’t bother getting it carpeted and have a few rugs placed in different rooms.
3.) Artwork
Minimalism is key here and since you won’t be keeping any heavy duty décor, opt for a piece of art. This should be a painting that you can hang in different rooms or just a one or two in the sitting area.
4.) Mirrors
A mirror placed in your bedroom or in the sitting area creates dimension and adds life to the space as well.
5.) Bookshelf
A small bookshelf is important to have in a cabin. You have all the time in the world to read your favorite book while you are away from the world. It gives a classy and intellectual spin on the interiors of your cabin.
