Description
Our Log Trestle Dining Table is a stunning design that will draw attention to any dining area. These tables are very impressive and durable. The true beauty and character is in the top, which is made by laminating thin planks of knotty pine to ensure it will not warp or crack. The dining table top is 2 1/2" thick and has hand-knifed edges to give each table its own rustic signature. The legs are made from three, four, and six inch pine logs, attached to the top using a mortise and tenon joint. The feet are intentionally positioned toward the center of the table to allow chairs and benches to be pushed completely underneath when not being used. Every dining table is finished in a 4-coat catalyzed lacquer to give it a moisture resistant finish.
Materials
The Pine Log Collection is constructed from US-sourced knotty pine lumber and solid pine logs up to 6 inches thick. These woods produce striking, impressive furniture. Every log is hand-selected to have just the right diameter and character. The logs are then mortised, tenoned, screwed and glued together for superior craftsmanship. All logs and most rounded edges are then textured by hand with a draw knife. After staining, the pieces are finished with a high-quality poly lacquer to further protect and enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
