Everything was excelent
Although warned that these tiles are hand made and painted and that there may be slight differences in the same ordered designs I was surprised at the major differences. Two identical, 6" tiles ordered and there was a quarter inch difference in the side measurement. On one the design was "raised" and flat on the other. The individual tiles were beautiful. As I plan is to use them individually this is no problem for me but if I had planned to use these as a section of a wall they would not work at all. However I also ordered six, 4 inch tiles and they were all identical.Other than that . . .I called the store prior to ordering and the individual I spoke with was friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. The shipping was quick and the tiles were well packed and protected. Again, the tiles are beautiful and meet my particular need. So I am satisfied.
I ordered tiles and they arrived and looked like they had been made in a childs craft class. The tiles were cut very uneven, the paint was pooled heavily in places and not even painted in others. There were areas where there were large drip marks down the side that would inhibit an even grout line. I have ordered hand made tiles from other places and I understand that when you order a handmade tile it is not uniform like a factory made tile. This was very poor craftsmanship though. I emailed and was quickly informed on how to return the tiles at my own cost. I was then issued a refund when the company received the tiles back. This refund was less the original shipping charge. So basically I ended up paying over $*** to take a look at what poor craftsmanship is. I don't think I would order from this company again as what was advertised was FAR from what I received. I am appreciative that they took the tiles back though.
Bought many differnt talavera relief tiles and they are gorgeous and just what I was looking for. They arrived quickly as well.
