The production of Jesus Guerrero Santos' ceramics is carefully thought out. Fundamental is the mixture of local clays, as the forms are made entirely by hand, yet the size, shape, and thickness of each piece must be consistent. Santos then decorates each piece himself using paints and glazes made from a secret blend of ingredients. Once decorated, the pieces are kiln-fired at high temp to create a strong and durable finish. Lastly, they are carefully adorned with the alloy alpaca to create stunning and classic final designs.
