This mind-numbing "Turquoise Weasel" by Oaxacan artists Roxana and Jesus Hernandez was hand-carved from local Copal wood and delicately painted in stunning detail with a steady hand and brilliant acrylic colors. Roxana and Jesus Hernandez are native Zapotecs and second generation woodcarvers from the village of San Martin, Oaxaca. They create their figures with the help of other family members, and together offer some of the most memorable Oaxacan wood carvings available.
