Description
This incredible "Majestic Rhino" by Oaxacan artists Roxana and Jesus Hernandez was hand-carved from local Copal wood and delicately painted in stunning detail with a steady hand and brilliant acrylic colors. The end result is a one-of-a-kind work of art, whose quality and creativity are internationally recognized.
Roxana and Jesus Hernandez are native Zapotecs and second generation woodcarvers from the village of San Martin, Oaxaca. They create their figures with the help of other family members, and together offer some of the finest Oaxacan wood carvings available today.
