This spectacular "Blue Faced Fox" by Oaxacan artist Zeny Fuentes was hand-carved from local Copal wood and delicately painted in stunning detail with a steady hand and brilliant acrylic colors. The end result is a one-of-a-kind work of art, whose quality and creativity are internationally recognized.
Zeny Fuentes is a native Zapotec and fourth generation woodcarver from the village of San Martin, Oaxaca. He started carving and painting when he was seven years old. Zeny works alongside his wife Reyna and their two oldest children, and together they create many of the most memorable Oaxacan wood carvings today.
