This whimsical clay mariachi figurine was handmade by artist Juan Jose Soteno in his home outside of Mexico City. It is a superb example of Mexican folk art. Juan Jose is the third generation of Sotenos to work with clay, a legacy which spans 60 years in the same modest home.
