Description
The Chapo Cabinet is a versatile piece that works well in any room of your home. Rustic and durable, it has two raised panel doors that open to a large storage space. In the bedroom, it is functional as a bedside nightstand; it is also very functional in a kitchen to store small, bulky appliances like blenders or toasters. Materials
Every charming piece in our Rustic Pine Furniture Collection is produced with care from newly milled and kiln-dried Ponderosa pine. The pieces are finished with an antique brown furniture wax to accentuate the wood's natural grain, and all door and drawer pulls are hand-forged wrought iron with a chocolate finish.

This was my first purchase from La Fuente. I had admired their furniture for quite a while but the shipping cost had put me off. However, I found a nice small cabinet at a very good price and went for it. Shipping was very prompt!! The cabinet is attractive enough but it is not the classic Mexican pine that I have in my house. It's got a lot of dark brown, not the normal lighter pine color and the wood is extremely thin. The back is luan or similar, not solid wood.When it arrived, it had such a terrible chemical odor I've had to leave it in my garage for a couple of months. There is no pine fragrance from the wood at all, unlike my other Mexican pieces which are solid pine. I have one console table made of pine but it was *** and had the same terrible odor when I first bought it, so I'm guessing this cabinet was also ***. If it was from Mexico, the quality of the older solid pine furniture is missing. I've heard that wood furniture is often sprayed with pesticide to preserve it while shipping, so maybe that's what the odor is. I'm not thrilled with the quality of this cabinet but it will serve its purpose once I can bring it into the house.
