As far as quality is concerned, our Northwoods Day Bed is a step above the rest. Each log is individually chosen for its size and attributes, then hand-textured for extra character. All joints are mortise and tenon, and all day bed frames are finished in a high-quality lacquer to protect and enhance the beauty of the logs.
Versatility of course also matters, and the Northwoods Day Bed can be used as a couch OR a bed. You can even add a trundle to sleep an extra guest. Slide-out and pop-up options are available. Both options store cleanly underneath the day bed when not in use.
The Pine Log Furniture Collection is available in a Clear Finish that highlights the untouched beauty of the knotty pine, or a Honey Finish for a warmer, welcoming look. This collection works well with all other lodge, western, rustic and southwestern decors, and will revitalize your home or cabin with a natural wood appeal. Materials
The Pine Log Collection is constructed from US-sourced knotty pine lumber and solid pine logs up to 6 inches thick. These woods produce striking, impressive furniture. Every log is hand-selected to have just the right diameter and character. The logs are then mortised, tenoned, screwed and glued together for superior craftsmanship. All logs and most rounded edges are then textured by hand with a draw knife. After staining, the pieces are finished with a high-quality poly lacquer to further protect and enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
