Description
Our Northwoods Bunk Bed may be the sturdiest bunk bed available anywhere. Each log is individually chosen for its size and attributes, then hand-textured with a draw knife for added character. All pieces are then joined together with a mortise and tenon joint, and secured with bolts. The bunk bed frames are finished in a high-quality lacquer to protect and enhance the beauty of the logs. The Northwoods Bunk Bed meets all safety standards including entrapment requirements, and includes a bunky board for the top bunk. A ladder is built into both sides for easy access to the upper bunk.
Materials
The Pine Log Collection is constructed from US-sourced knotty pine lumber and solid pine logs up to 6 inches thick. These woods produce striking, impressive furniture. Every log is hand-selected to have just the right diameter and character. The logs are then mortised, tenoned, screwed and glued together for superior craftsmanship. All logs and most rounded edges are then textured by hand with a draw knife. After staining, the pieces are finished with a high-quality poly lacquer to further protect and enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
